One crucial aspect of helping children with autism is to establish and maintain strong relationships with them. 

This involves creating a safe and nurturing environment where the child feels valued and respected. 

How we work:

Many children with autism experience sensory processing difficulties, which can affect their ability to process and respond to sensory input from the environment. 

Sensory integration therapy helps children develop their sensory processing abilities 

through play-based activities that stimulate the different sensory systems, such as touch, sight, sound, and movement...This can help children with autism feel more comfortable in their environment and better able to engage in everyday activities

Executive function coaching involves teaching children strategies and tools to help them develop their executive function skills, such as using visual supports, breaking tasks down into smaller steps, and setting goals and rewards for completing tasks. 

This can help children with autism become more independent and successful in their daily life

Executive function refers to a set of mental processes that help us plan, organize, initiate, and complete tasks.

 Many children with autism struggle with executive function, which can make it difficult for them to manage their time, prioritize tasks, and stay focused on a task for an extended period.

Donna Douglas has been dedicating her career to educating students with intellectual disabilities for more than two decades.

Her passion for the performing arts, including dance and drama, has led her to teach a wide variety of dance genres to her young adult students, providing them with the chance to showcase their talents in performances and competitions.

Mrs. Douglas has a wealth of experience and knowledge that she uses to empower her students and inspire them to reach their full potential. Through her guidance, her students gain confidence, discipline, and the ability to express themselves creatively through the art of dance..
